What is Virtual Ride?
Virtual Ride is a browser-based indoor cycling app for people who would rather ride real roads than a game world. You connect a Bluetooth smart trainer, pick a route, and pedal through Google Street View imagery while your power, cadence and speed drive the pace. Routes cover coastal roads, city streets and famous climbs around the world, so a winter trainer session can feel a bit more like an actual ride. A smart trainer is needed. You can try a few open demo rides at virtualride.app/rides before signing up, and there is a 7-day free trial on the web. Virtual Ride is made by Otter Media, a small studio in Finland.
